We repair weathered brickwork, worn mortar joints, loose wall tops and damaged garden walls, pillars and returns. The first step is to understand the condition and likely cause of the problem, then explain the work that is suitable.

Brick replacement, repointing and wall rebuilding

Replacement bricks: We assess damaged or frost-affected bricks and discuss suitable replacements, including colour, size and texture.
Repointing: Worn or failing mortar joints are assessed so the joint finish and mortar are appropriate to the existing masonry. Repointing is different from correcting structural movement.
Wall repairs: Work can include rebuilding an agreed section, repairing pillars and returns, and resetting or replacing loose coping stones. Any crack-stitching repair is considered after assessing the cause and suitability, with specialist input where needed.

A clear overall photograph and close-ups of the damage help us understand the enquiry. Include your postcode, approximate wall dimensions and whether it retains soil. Photographs do not replace a site assessment where one is needed.

Can you replace just a few damaged bricks?

Yes, where the surrounding wall is suitable for a local repair. We discuss replacement bricks and mortar, and explain if the damage suggests a wider issue that needs attention.

Will repointing fix a cracked or leaning wall?

Not necessarily. Repointing repairs the mortar joints. Cracks, bulging or leaning can have other causes, so we assess the wall before recommending repointing, a section rebuild or further investigation.

Can you repair garden walls as well as house brickwork?

Yes. We carry out brick replacement, repointing and localised repairs to garden walls, boundary walls, pillars and suitable house masonry. Describe the location and send pictures so we can advise on the next step.
